Dosage form :

Tablet 81 mg

Indication :

Treatment of mild to moderate pain, inflammation, and fever;
prophylaxis of myocardial infarction and transient ischemic episodes;
management of rheumatoid arthritis, rheumatic fever, osteoarthritis,
and gout (high dose).

Dosage :

Oral: Acute coronary syndrome: Immediate release: Oral: Initial: 162
to 325 mg given on presentation (This dose can be used for many
other indications initially and maintenance).
For most cardiovascular uses, typical maintenance dosing of aspirin is 81 mg once daily.
Analgesic and antipyretic: Starting from 325 mg as needed to 1000
mg as needed every 4 to 6 hours. It is recommended not to be used
more than 10 days.

Anti-inflammatory (off-label dosing): Immediate release: Oral: Usual
maintenance dose: 2.1 to 7.3 g/day in divided doses (individualize
dose).

Adverse reactions :

Homeostasis, Hemorrhage, fatigue, insomnia, agitation, hypotension,
tachycardia, edema, acidosis, dehydration, nausea, vomiting,
epigastric discomfort, heartburn, gastrointestinal ulceration, gastric
erosions, hepatotoxicity, anemia, tinnitus, renal failure, asthma,
bronchospasm.
