Tablet 250 mg; Reconstituted solution 500 mg ( IV only )
Indication :
Treatment of glaucoma, edema, and epilepsy.
Dosage :
Oral, IV: Glaucoma: 0.25 – 1 gm daily in 1- 4 divided doses.
Edema: 250-375 mg once daily.
Epilepsy: 8-30 mg/kg daily in 1-4 divided doses. (Max.: 1 gm).
Urine alkalinization : 5 mg/kg repeated 2-3 times over 24 hours.
Warning / precaution :
Adverse reactions :
Malaise, anorexia, diarrhea, metallic taste, polyuria, mental
depression, drowsiness.
